Cleaning Questions:

How do I clean my Copper River Bag?

We do recommend washing bag by hand with a mild soap (i.e. saddle soap, dish detergent, etc.). Click here for detailed Video instructions. We do not recommend putting our bag in a washing machine as it may damage the washing machine.

How often should I clean / condition my leather bag?

It's our recommendation to wash and condition your leather bag at least twice a year. Don't be afraid to wipe your bag down with a damp wet cloth after every time it gets dirty. If you're using your bag daily and it gets hammered by dirt, sweat, mud, direct sun, rain, snow or any other extreme weather - give your bag a bath, just like you would your kids. You don't need to be timid when washing a Copper River Bag - we just ask that you follow our simple instructions and only use our recommended products to clean and condition your leather bag. NOTE: conditioning your bag after every wash is extremely important, don't over do it though... using too much conditioner at one time will clog your bags' leather pores and make it sticky-tacky and attract dirt. Color Questions:

Is the color in the picture the exact color I get when I order?

Usually, but expect a possible 10-20% (lighter or darker) variation from the pictures. Please understand the leather in the pictures varies due to the lighting conditions when taking the photo and whether the bag was photographed outside. Regardless, our bag age beautifully over over time - like fine wine or a really good aged beer. " Wow! where did you get that bag, it's amazing?" This is what our customers from around the world hear daily.



What color bag should I get?

One in every color of course! On a real note, choose the color you fall in love with right from the start... the one that make you say WOW that bag is awesome! The truth is, 75% of everyone that buys one of our Copper River Bags owns two or more.

 

Will the leather on my bag get darker or lighter over time?

It all depends on sun exposure and use. We use two types of grade "A" premium leather, oil-tanned and aged Italian (straight from Italy). Both age amazingly beautiful over time. Our oil-tanned leathers tend to darken and take on a glowing patina, this type of glowing patina only happens with the highest quality of leathers. It's the type of aging that brings on that WOW! Factor. So to answer your question: the more you use your bag and its exposed to the elements, the more likely it will darken

How can I make my bag darker?

By conditioning your bag with our Wool Wax Leather Butter. 



Custom Work Questions:

Do you do custom work?

Yes, but don't get carried away... Adding pockets here and there can be done with relative ease. And from time to time we will do total custom work that is not within our line, but understand it is not cheap (you're asking for a one-of-a-kind custom bag). So, if you have a simple request email us and we will try our best to make you smile.

Can I have my name or company logo branded on my bag?

Yes! Names and initial brands really make your bag special and deter a thief from stealing your bag.  Simple company logos can be done, all we need is camera ready art work that's not too detailed. We love collaborating with companies and corporations as our items make great gifts. For basic names and initials click here. For logos simply email us with your request. 

Can I make simple changes to my bag?

Yes, as long as it is within our design scope, otherwise it falls within our custom work request. There will be a small design change fee but if it's as simple as adding a pocket - it's worth it if it makes you smile. 



Payment /Ordering Questions:

Is ordering over the internet secure?

Yes. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption is used for every transaction in order to ensure that your order is secure. SSL encrypts the transmissions from our e-commerce servers as well as your computer. SSL encryption works by forming a matched pair with the transmission from your computer transmission and our server, so that only data to and from these sources can be valid. 

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes, we give you the option of choosing your payment processing. Either process your payment using our Secure-Net processing center or PayPal. Both will process your payment the same way.

Do I have to sign up for PayPal to process my payment?

No, you do not have to sign up as a PayPal member to process a payment using PayPal. Choose the checkout as a guest when prompted to by PayPal. If PayPal if giving you trouble, checkout using our Secure-Net payment option.

Will I receive a payment confirmation ?

Yes, as soon as your payment is processed either through Secure-Net or PayPal our system will email you an order confirmation that will include your order number. This all takes place within seconds after placing your order. If you do not receive an order confirmation number this means your order did not go through. You will need to retry your order again. If you have issues please call or email us right away.

 
What type of credit cards and payments do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Discover card and e-check. If you are a retail store please contact our National Sales Director for more options. 

Will my credit card be charged immediately?

Yes, your credit card is charged upon completion of your order. When you enter your credit card information on the final review page, we’ll give you an order confirmation number. You will also immediately receive an e-mail confirming that your order has been received. We will send you another e-mail to notify you when your order has been shipped and a tracking number.



Shipping Questions:

Where is my bag?

 

As of Jan. 5, 2020

 

Due to the Coronavirus / Covid-19 out break our hand crafted backs could take up to 30 days to craft. But if you ask people who love our bags they will tell you it is well worth the wait.

All of our products are crafted by hand at the time the order is placed. It does take anywhere between 7 and 14 business days (most of the time 7 days) to craft your bag. Each day our team of expert craftsmen go above and beyond to impress. We think they're just phenomenal at what they do and are happy for them to be a part of our team. Believe us when we say "It is well worth the wait!" When your order is placed with us we special order our leather hide individually and just for your bag, then begin the careful process of cutting, sewing, and constant inspection of your bag. You're welcomed to contact us at any time for a status update - we know you're excited to start using your brand new leather bag probably just as much as we are for you to receive it.

 

How do I know when my order has been shipped?

When your order has been shipped, we will send you another e-mail with your tracking number.

How is my bag shipped?

We ship all products via USPS Priority Mail, which is tracked and insured. We also send you an order confirmation once your order has shipped that will contain your tracking number so you can check it along the way. 

**We do offer Priority Shipping for a flat rate of $26.00. For an additonal $6.00 it will upgrade your order to a 2-3 day service. You're also welcomed to provide us with a FedEX or UPS Account number if you would like it shipped overnight. We can also ship overnight as well...but it can get kind of pricey at the retail rate, so bear that in mind when requesting overnight delivery from us.

 

 

Do you ship international (outside the U.S.)?

Yes, we ship world-wide. Due to the differing V.A.T. rates, we do not cover your countries V.A.T. tax, duties or customs fees incurred by your particular country. There is no way for us to estimate them as we have previously. We've tried to cover them with our older shipping rates, however found out (the hard way) that USPS and International Postal Services frown upon that. The flat rate you pay for international delivery is a tracked, insured parcel which is the fastest delivery at the lowest price availalbe on the market. Canadian orders will usually arrive in 5-7 business days and all other countries will arrive within 6-10 business days, once shipped.

NOTE** All international orders are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.

 



 

Bag construction Questions:

What type of leather is my bag made of?

We use only the best grade "A" oil-tanned leather from North and South America and Italian leather straight from Italy.

What type of thread is my bag constructed with?

Your bag is constructed of high strength marine grade salt-water and mildew resistant thread that has a UVR protective coating and stretch control. We use the same type of thread used in high-speed sailing boats. 

Where is my bag made?

Every Copper River Bag is designed and made in the U.S. - in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

 

Is my bag bomb, knife or fire proof?

No!!! Your bag is tough but come on there are limits...
